Resilient Hearts
Free Virtual Peer Support

For Wives & Families of Southeast Asians Facing Detention or Deportation

When a loved one is detained to be deported or has been deported, the loss is felt in many layers -  emotionally, financially, spiritually, and relationally. Yet this multilayered experience is often unseen, unsupported, and misunderstood. Resilient Hearts Support Group offers a safe, confidential, and culturally responsive virtual space for family members navigating grief, trauma, isolation, and resilience after their loved one’s deportation. Together, we will learn practical ways to cope with grief, trauma, anxiety, and depression while connecting through shared lived experiences.  Although this is not counseling, the support group will be led by a licensed mental health counselor who has knowledge of both the cultural and emotional complexities of this journey.

TOPICS INCLUDE

  • Grief and ambiguous loss

  • Trauma healing

  • Coping skills for anxiety and depression

  • Rebuilding hope and identity

  • Cultural strengths and resilience

  • Parenting across distance

  • Resources and advocacy support
